When you use RateMe, we collect:

• Account data: email, username, and password (hashed).
• Profile data: display name, bio, location, and uploaded media.
• Usage data: ratings given/received, views, follows, and comments.
• OAuth data: if you sign in via Google, Facebook, or Instagram, we receive your name, email, and profile picture from the provider.

2. How We Use Your Data

• To provide and improve the RateMe service.
• To display your profile and ratings on leaderboards.
• To send verification emails and important account notifications.
• To prevent abuse and enforce our terms.

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:

• Service providers: Supabase (database/auth), Resend (email), Railway (hosting).
• Legal requirements: if required by law or to protect rights and safety.

4. Data Storage

Your data is stored on Supabase (PostgreSQL) with SSL encryption. Media files are stored in Supabase Storage. All connections use HTTPS.

5. Your Rights

You can:

• View and edit your profile data at any time.
• Delete your account (Settings > Delete Account), which permanently removes all your data.
• Request a copy of your data by contacting us.

6. Cookies

The RateMe app does not use cookies. The website uses no tracking cookies or analytics.

7. Children

RateMe is not intended for users under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

8. Changes

We may update this policy. Changes will be posted on this page with the updated date.
